Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Jason Eisener has finally lined up his feature length directorial follow-up to Hobo With A Shotgun and it'll be produced by Don't Breathe's Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues and written by You're Next and The Guest's screenwriter Simon Barrett!
This flick is currently untitled and is described as a "techno thriller." I have absolutely no idea what the fuck that means... I assume it's a technology-driven thriller not a movie about dance music, but nothing is off the table with the load of crazies behind this one. When I think of a technology-driven thriller the first thing to jump into my mind is that Tom Selleck/Gene Simmons killer acid-spitting robot spiders movie RUNAWAY, by the way. That's probably not the direction they're going in, but I gotta say I wouldn't mind if it was...
All I know is I like all those people and I'm finally glad to see Eisener stepping back behind the camera in this capacity after a few years of some awesome shorts (seek out Treevenge, people) and second unit directing. That dude's got a crazy eye and an even crazier sense of humor. There's not telling how far that guy will go with his films and that makes them terribly exciting. At least to nerds like me.
