James Bond will return November 8th, 2019!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Eon announced that they're officially setting a release date for the next James Bond movie, which will hit US screens November 8th, 2019.

Now, the press release did point out that the UK and "the rest of the world" will get the traditional earlier release, but as punishment for that little revolution and tea dumping shenanigans us colonists will have to get Britain's Bond sloppy seconds. They didn't explicitely say that was the reason, but I read between the lines.

Another thing the press release doesn't mention is the name "Daniel Craig." All the producers get namechecked, as well as returning screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and then when it comes time for the actors they just say that casting and director hires will be "announced at a later date."

Kinda feels to me like they're trolling everybody since there's been all those rumors about Craig being unhappy and walking away from Bond. They could all be happy as clams counting the zeroes on their giant franchise paychecks and having a laugh the fuel this release adds to the flames. Or they're genuinely unsure if they're recasting their James Bond.

If that's the case it's an even bigger story than announcing the next film's release date, so it makes sense they'd stretch it out a bit and get even more attention with that announcement.

I tend to think they're gonna get Craig back. They can't really ditch him without doing a soft reboot, right? The franchise has done it multiple times before, but it seems like they haven't finished with Craig's version yet.
