I present to you the first real look at Steven Spielberg's adaptation of Ernest Cline's Ready Player One. Prepare to have your nostalgia centers tickled, my fellow geeks!
First impressions: I dig that visually Spielberg is visually framing this film in much the same way as he did AI. The color palette is similar and tonally it's pretty close to what Cline wrote. There's also an undeniable Minority Report vibe going on. This is all good.
From what I've heard (and know of the source material) these iconic movie monsters and props are just the tip of the iceberg. Holy shit, this is really real!
