The brainchild of actress/Groundlings vet Andrea Savage (“Step Brothers,” “Dinner For Schmucks”), “Sorry” is a show for people who love “Seinfeld” yet hate laughtracks.
CBS’ “Salvation,” which comes to us from “Necessary Roughness” creator Craig Shapiro, is low-budget “Armageddon” with a lot of low-wattage personalities trying to decide how to deal with a planet-destroying asteroid six months from colliding with Earth. A high-ranking Pentagon official wants to deploy a semi-reliable super-rocket to pull the rock off course while an Elon Musk clone thinks building a 160-person space ark is the better bet. If you’re a fan of CBS’ low-IQ summer sci-fi splat like “Under The Dome,” “Extant,” “Brain Dead” and “Zoo,” you may like this one too.
