Mondo is releasing John Williams' JAWS score on vinyl and it's a thing of beauty!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I know it may come as a surprise to some of you guys, but the news of Mondo releasing the Jaws score on vinyl is kind of up my alley. Shocking, but true.

Not only is Mondo releasing John Williams' iconic score on a kick-ass double LP vinyl set, it's the first time the entire screen-used score was put on this format. Previous releases were re-recordings, even on original release in 1975.

You can pre-order the LP right now, with kickass art from Phantom City Creative, for the low low price of $35.00. The album is expected to ship late October.

Below is the front cover art, an artistic rendering of one of my favorite shots from the movie, the badass gatefold art and the rear cover art.

The LPs themselves are ocean blue and super pretty, too:

If you dig the art, but don't play that vinyl game... well, I got good news and bad news for you. The good news is that Mondo's releasing the cover art as limited edition prints. The regular is the same art, the variant has sunset imagery. The problem is that shit went on sale yesterday afternoon and sold the fuck out.

There is some hope if you really want that poster and happen to be one of the thousands of people going to the San Diego Comic-Con. Mondo did a black and white variant they will be selling only at Comic-Con. There will be 225 of these bad boys for sale at the Con. Good luck!

If you can't swing Comic-Con, then there's one last bit of hope to get some cool Mondo Jaws stuff. They have a dual pin set, too, and you can buy that for only $15.00.

Way to go, Mondo. Hell of a way to kick off the Fourth of July, wouldn't you say?
