Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. One of the big question marks in the superhero world right now is this weird Animated Spider-Man movie in the works at Sony. This will not be affiliated with the live action movies and to underscore that point they're focusing these animated movies on Miles Morales, a first for the big screen.
We know Phil Lord and Chris Miller wrote the script and that Bob Persichetti (head of story on Puss N Boots and The Little Prince) and Peter Ramsey (director of Rise of the Guardians) are directing, Shameik Moore is voicing Miles and Liev Shreiber is doing someone else.
The big question for me is the look. Are they going for a photoreal CG movie or a more cartoony movie? We still don't have an answer to that, but we do have our first imagery surrounding the movie, courtesy of Collider who is on the ground in Vegas for the big Licensing Expo.

It may not answer many questions, but I think it gives a teeny tiny taste of tone. Playful, colorful and a little less "designed" than your traditional teaser image.
So, there you go. We got a year and a half until this one sees screens. With Lord & Miller behing the script I expect good things. What about you?
