Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. You can spend all day debating about whether or not Netflix's business platform has been good or bad for the movie business, but from a pure consumer perspective it's been something of a miracle. They give money to things most studios and networks wouldn't in a million years. From bringing back Arrested Development to Okja, a story about a hippo cow pig and the girl that loves him, the folks at Netflix have a huge barrel of money and they're putting out some very interesting content.
From director Bong Joon Ho, director of Snowpiercer, The Host, Mother and the flat out incredible Memories of a Murder, comes this delightfully weird-ass looking movie with an amazing cast, including Tilda Swinton (at her most Cruella DeVille, I see), Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Giancarlo Esposito, Steven Yeun, Lily Collins and Seo-Hyun Ahn.
The biggest compliment I can give this trailer is that it feels like one of Bong Joon Ho's crazy Korean-language films with a big A-list Western cast.
