Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. One of my favorite movies of Fantastic Fest was a little under-the-radar Christmas-set horror flick called Safe Neighborhood, about a boy, his babysitter and some home invaders. It's one of those kinds of movies that switches gears on you a couple times so every time you think you have a handle on things it goes in a different direction.
That dark little movie really won me over and now we know when the rest of us sickos can give it a view. Well Go USA will distribute the film under a new title this October. Better Watch Out is the new title (more fitting, considering the whole Christmas horror angle and whatnot) and it'll hit theaters and digital October 6th.
My advice is to go into this one as pure as you can. The marketing department has a tough job on its hands here and I can't imagine they'll be able to really push this thing without spoiling a few twists and turns.
Anyway, spoiled or unspoiled, this movie really made me smile and I think you'll dig it, too. Keep it in mind this October.
