Robert Zemeckis' Untitled Steve Carell drama is dated, killing those Flash rumors!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Remember those rumors about Robert Zemeckis doing The Flash movie? Not so fast there, internet speculation. Seems like Universal also heard those rumors and wanted to quash them by announcing the release date of Zemeckis' next flick, an Untitled drama starring Steve Carell. The date is November 21st, 2018, which pretty much takes him out of the running for any other movie until the end of next year.

Now I personally would rather see Zemeckis dip his toes into superhero waters than see another random drama. He's got such a great visual eye, talent for character and a nice, dark sense of humor that I think he could add something fresh to the superhero genre.

I'm sure whatever this Untitled movie is will be well made, but the logline ("the true story of one broken man’s fight as he discovers how artistic imagination can restore the human spirit") doesn't do anything to get me excited for this project. Sounds like another Secret Life of Walter Mitty (Stiller, not Danny Kaye) to me, but I do trust that Zemeckis will bring something interesting to this premise.

So, sorry Flash fans. No Zemeckis for you!
