Hey folks, Harry here... With BOSS BABY and CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS... Dreamworks feels like it has chosen an infantile path to profit and when I received the trailer in email - clicked on it - I was expecting something... like what I got. The Toilet Terminator, baseline humor. Remember when Dreamworks made PRINCE OF EGYPT? I do. I remember Jeffrey Katzenberg telling me his dream for the company. To change animation for the better. He took me through the production for PRINCE OF EGYPT - saying that animation could make great cinema. He'd bring up Spielberg, David Lean and even Billy Wilder. And we get this CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS trailer on the release of BOSS BABY. It feels like too much time has passed since DREAMWORKS Animation actually cared about the artistry of the form. Time to move past the infantile and blow people's minds with something properly awesome again.
