Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here on this lovely Friday morning with an interesting clip from CATFIGHT, a film from Writer/Director Onur Tukel. The filmmakers have given us a clip to share for the film as it hits theaters and VOD today, March 3rd! "CATFIGHT is a brutally hilarious story of two bitter rivals whose grudge match spans a lifetime." While I've yet to see the film, it's cast is rather impressive in my book, with Sandra Oh in the lead, supported by folks like Alicia Silverstone, Anne Heche, KIMMY SCHMIDT'S Tituss Burgess, and more. From the outside, this isn't normally a film I'd gravitate towards, provided it likely has strong performances where actors are actually acting and not as many forced explosions incorporated into the script. (I know what I like, damn it!) I am very much interested in checking the film out however, as it comes from Dark Sky Films, a company whose logo pops up in front of some of my favorite films of the past few years. Two former college friends, who now find themselves in very different walks of life, meet up at a fancy cocktail party: Veronica (Sandra Oh) has become the entitled, wine-loving wife of a rich businessman, while Ashley (Anne Heche), along with her lover Lisa (Alicia Silverstone), struggles to make ends meet as an artist. As the two women reconnect, long-buried hostilities, jealousy, and anger explode into a vicious, bloody fight that leaves both of them battered and bruised – and ready for more.
