COLLATERAL DAMAGE report and pics from Austria!
Hey folks, Harry here with an AB KING special.... hooooot hooooottt!!! chugachugachugachuga.... heheheh, Ya know... I know I start hoping with every Arnie project... and yes I am well aware of Andrew Davis' post FUGITIVE crimes against human retina case that is pending with every new release.... but dammit... It could be possible that he's doing it right. Well, here ya go, read and see for yourself....

Austrian Newspaper „Die Neue Krone‰ had an exclusive first-look article on
Arnold Schwarzeneggers new movie „Collateral Damage‰ last Sunday.
The movie ist currently shooting in Mexico (as a subsitute for Columbia)
with Andrew Davis directing. The location is a few kilometers out of
Coatapec, a small town around Xalapa, the capital of the province Veracruz
(in Mexicos Southwest). 250 locals work in the production and one of the
actresses in the movie is also a local. The newspaper also has a short
passage about the storyline:
A Los Angeles fireman (Arnold) loses wife and child in a terrorist bombing,
that was supposed to kill the Columbian Embassador. Frustrated with the slow
progress of police and officials, he decides to search for the terrorists on
his own and heads off to Columbia, fighting drug-lords and jungle-guerillas.
Well, its not very hard to figure out the rest of the storyline.
Working with Arnold are: Andrew Davis (director), Francesca Neri (italian
actress) and Marina Isabel Vera Flores (Mexican actress, local of the
shooting area), Peter Tothpal (Arnolds hungarian hair-stylist), Jeff Dawn
(Oscar-winner for makeup in T2), Dieter Rauter (Arnolds stand-in) and
Stunt-Man Billy Lucas.
The planned Release Date for the film is August 2001.

i can't tell if arnie is hung over or just got hit in the head with a baseball bat ten minutes before he decided to play chess. get that man some coffee! and is it just me, or does arnold look kinda chunky in that picture, in addition to his grotesque amount of muscle? he is one scary individual. anyway, this movie sounds like a return to the classics of arnie. i expect razor blades taking off the tops of peoples heads, i expect at LEAST three severed arms, one decapitation, 60 bullet riddled bodies, some extra severed limbs (surprise me), and lots of wonderful one liners making light of it all. only then (!) will i go home and weep.

I hope Arnold goes back to killing innumerable mooks and kicking general ass in this movie. Sounds like he will, what with the Columbian drug lords. I thought the 6th Day was good, so I hope Ah-nuld's on a streak now....I hope a good one.

To answer the first post, if Arnold looks so damaged (hence the movie title BTW) in the last picture it's because he's trying to understand what to do next in his chess game... tough game... Anyway I was wondering why there's a picture of a woman and a child with him in the jungle. Does that mean... a) his wife & kid were not really killed in the bombing (surprise !) or b) (more likely) he finds a woman & a kid in the jungle that look like his own wife & kid, so he feels happy (like John Travolta/Nicolas Cage in Face/Off with the little boy) and kills everyone with a big smile ("I told you I would be back")... And I don't think this film will bring back Arnold on top of the box office next summer... I remember a few years ago there was a comedy project for Stallone and Schwarzenegger to play two neighbours fighting (like an adult Home alone - I even think it was a John Hugues project)... I think they should do it now, it's their last chance to do something worth seeing... okay maybe not...

I am a big arnie fan, and although he is still muscular, he has now got a MAJOR middle-aged paunch. Sure, he is relaxing his gut, but even so he still looks chubby. And his movie career needs hardcore violence, not comedies.

A riveting battle of wits between Arnold, the heartful fireman, and his arch enemy, sweating t-shirt man. No doubt, this movie will have audiences gawking at it's tension, and mounting supsense. Arnold, what the hell are you doing?

The words "chubby" and "Fat" do NOT belong in the same sentence with the name Schwarzenegger. That last picture is just a bad shot of the man plain and simple. A picture could make someone look in shape and someone look out of shape. Arnold is still in great shape.

...he has to work with hackish director's like Andrew Davis,Rodger Spottiswood and Peter Haym's. It's not like they havn't done good film's at some stage but they are far from the A-list.Personally I think one of the reason's Cameron pulled out of the next Terminator was because he wanted to distance himself from big A's rapidly fading career.Arnie of course is 'in' because he desperatly need's a hit.

yeah, that's right. I created him i can say what i want. but seriously... i definately agree with those of you who think arnold needs to go back to straight action, but not shitty action like commando, i mean the good shit like predator.

...unless stopped. That picture of Arnie, the woman and the kid sent chills through my very being. Ugh. Let's hope that he's actually taking them into custody and that the kid is actually the evil drug lord mastermind. Otherwise... get Ouuu-t!

That last picture remains me of one of those ex-HIgh School football heros sitting in their armchair in their muscle shirt, slacks with the buttons undone and zipper halfway down, holding a longneck Bud in one hand, a remote in the other, and slouching as he watches the Monday Night Football. Goddamn that's hilarious!

That's an understatement, of course. At least this Arnold movie has some decent eye candy in the form of Francesca Neri. Hopefully, Andy Davis will demonstrate that he is capable of being a first-rate director with this film.

geez guys. i was only teasing. he's getting up their in age and he could crush my puny body, smoke a cigar and crack goofy jokes at once. but, he does look like he has a gut. not to say his arms aren't as big a tree trunks. but really, is it so hard to except that arnold has lost his abs at his age? geez. oh, and he's wearing a "wife - beater", those things hug you're body nice and close like. far from baggy. i have a body fat percentage of 10 and i have no gut in a wife beater. but then again, i am a skinny bitch. and is it such a crime to crack a joke or two? i mean, you have to admit, that last picture is funny.. arnold is a wreck. its probably 5am or something. lighten up!

Hilarious, I have to admit. Anyway, I love Arnold, but I think his career is on the way down fast. Hate to say it. Heard 6th Day sucked. His last hope may be T3. Hope I'm wrong because so many of his previous movies KICK ASS -- especially T1 & T2 along with The Runnung Man.I'm pulling for you AHNULD!

I just got the Total Recall DVD, boy is that a great movie, DVD picture is very good. Arnold kicked so much ass in that one. Him and Verhoven need to team up again to put an end to any doubts about Arnold's ability to kick ass.
