Iwan Rheon, who tormented Theon Greyjoy, Sansa Stark and Jon Snow as Ramsay Bolton in “Game of Thrones,” will play Maximus in ABC’s new Marvel series “The Inhumans,” which debuts in September.
Introduced in the February 1966 issue of Fantastic Four, the print version of Maximus developed psionic superpowers after he was exposed to the transformative Terragen Mist during infancy.
The younger brother of Inhuman Black Bolt, Maximus would go on to join The League of Evil Inhumans.
Writer-producer Scott Buck (“Six Feet Under,” “Rome”) serves as showrunner on both ABC’s “Inhumans” and Netflix’s upcoming Marvel series “Iron Fist.”
While recurring on “Thrones,” Rheon also starred on the ITV series “Vicious” opposite Ian McKellen, who played the Marvel mutant Magneto in at least five movies.
