About those Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker ads on AICN

Published at:  Dec 16, 2000 6:23:24 AM CST

You see that ad, well... don't buy it. Write Warners a letter, demand that they issue the one true video. If they don't, then choose never to see it. But whatever you do, don't think that THAT ad means AICN endorses that video or DVD. Advertising on AICN is handled through a third party and is not handled by AICN, but through a company called L90. If Warners wants to buy space to try and con you good folks into buying a butchered ex-masterpiece, than they can go ahead and sponsor this site and keep it free... But I'll be damned if it means one fucking shred of difference to me. That company has thrown in the towel and become a very strong anti-artist studio of dreck. A.I. is Spielberg and Kubrick... Warners is only in it because of Spielberg's name... period. That entire group of PC gorillas can chew a banana peel as far as I care... BUT realize... the thing they are advertising is NOT the version YOU want in your VCR or DVD player. Just a public service announcement, paid for by Warners I guess. hehehe BTW... Newspapers often time run ads for movies that their critics pan... no difference here.

Aren't we going to be SHOWN the ads?

    by mthiel

We already know that BB:ROTJ has been butchered, but I thought we would actually be shown some of the advertisements (commercials, posters) for the video. So I wasted my time coming here (kind of like "Ulee's Gold" :) )

If you read the message, you could tell that Harry's saying there is an ad on the site for the chopped up sucker. If you look at the top of the page, you will see a number of ads. Eventually, you will see the one for Batman Beyond. This, of course will insight a number of you to start calling Harry a "sellout" among other things. Oh, well.

Harry's talking about an ad on the Website...

    by wungolioth

He's talking about the silly rotating ads on the website that help pay for it all. If you stick around long enough, keep searching through the articles here, I'm sure you'll see it. I saw the DVD and VHS tape in the store yesterday, and the thing I find amusing, just like Dreamworks' "The Road to Eldorado", Warners has some kind of contest/incentive to buy on the outside package. This seems to be becoming a trend with any video/DVD the studio doesn't have alot of confidence in selling by it's name alone.

    Four words, Harry.

    by tender branson

    1: Who. 2: Gives. 3: A. and of course 4: SHIT????

"Batman Beyond" has continuously perverted the entire story of "Batman" for the Ritalin crowd and I couldn't give two watery shits about the movie. I don't intend to see it, I don't care if I ever see it. "Batman Beyond" sucks the wart puss from the cock of mediocracy. So naturally, I couldn't care less if you advertise the flick on your site, willingly or not. The site is free, I don't care how you pay for it. I don't even care if you take kick backs from studios for reviews. I couldn't care less about whose script you pimp on the site. I also don't care who had what scoop first. I do not care how many studio sponsored trips you have. I do not care if you get an advance copy of every single film coming out and bootleg the shit out of them. I do not care if you masturbate screaming Jack Valenti's name, getting anally fisted by Pauly Shore. I do not care about any of these things. At all. Even a teeny, tiny little bit. These are not the reasons why I like this site and probably (hopefully) never will be. I like this site for one reason and one reason alone. FILM! I don't care which ones they are or what they're about. Your site consistently provides the spoiler laced, advance screening, insider crap that I've become addicted to in a humorous and sometimes well written fashion. To get this news to me for free, I don't care if you rent out space for the Pro-Tobacco League, The Petition for Another Joel Shumacher Batman Flick, or hardcore porn. Even if there were pop up windows galore (Which I sincerly appreciate the lack of.) I would still visit this site in my morning internet peruse. Okiedokie? Don't care about the advertising. We all gotta eat and if I were you, I wouldn't have even drawn attention to it. So don't sweat it and don't take such a stupid cartoon so personally. I can understand getting all bent out of shape over that assclown version of "Night of the Living Dead" (Because Romero is a hack and ripping his one great flick is like stomping the miracle baby of a sterile man to death.) but, I don't understand getting bent out over "Batman Beyond". The show is heinous, dull, boring and lacks nearly everything that made me love "Batman" to begin with. The idea has been marketed, tested, retested, marketed again, tested again and so on and so forth until the soul has milked right the fuck out of it. I hate "Batman Beyond" with every fiber of my being. However, I find (Even if you do take it personally.) you making money off the piece of shit quite humorous. So, don't sweat it. I also wouldn't take any shit over the inevitable shitdicks who are going to call you a sell out for having the ads on your site. Besides, it's a fucking AD BANNER! Who the fuck gets to choose which ads run where?

    It's Funny. . .

    by cowblaster

Before, I would have been going ape-shit at this point over the movie being out, seeing ads for it on television, and what-not. But now, whenever I even see this movie on store shelves, I cringe. I want to change the channel whenever I see the ads on television. I shudder when I see the ad banners on the internet. I even resent anyone who buys it! It's amazing how much of a complete reversal I've taken on my opinion of this movie. Thanks a lot Warner Brothers! You've taken yet another animated masterpiece of your own and completely screwed it over with your corporate bullshit. Just like when you told Timm Co. that Mask of the Phantasm was going to be a theater release almost at the last minute. . . forcing them to stop production, completely re-work the story-boards, and re-animate their already finished scenes to fit the format of film. And, let's not forget your oh-so-poor marketing and advertisment for the Iron Giant, causing it to be a complete box office flop. If you could see it, Warner Brothers, I'd end this message with an image of myself grabing my crotch and giving you the finger.

    Batman Beyond

    by fishbait

Ya know, in the end, Warner Bros. does OWN Batman. THEY paid Paul Dini, Bruce Timm and the rest to make a movie for THEM. They probably instituted countless changes throughout the film.

Hell, this creative team has been handed mandates and creative changes since day 1 of the original Batman series from everyone from Fox to the WB. And they STILL choose to work for them. They have forefitted and rights to crying "Foul" a long time ago. Paul Dini does not own Batman, and neither do we.

Frankly, if you don't like that Warners bowed to pressure to tone down the violence and remove shots of a small boy gunning down someone, stop voting in liberals that insist on government intervention in every aspect of our lives.

If you want to boycott the film on the grounds that Warners went too far, stifeling the original artistic vision, fine.

But don't hypocritically blind yourselves to the Fact that practically every movie made operates the same damn way. Even the sainted, "Original artistic vision".

    Yo, Black 'Jesus, my man!

    by tender branson

You must know, being Black Jesus and all, that this is the first time I've ever said anything about it. But, aside from the freshness of the whole subject to me, I thought that Harry being anal retentive about his hate for the film whilst involantarily making the green off it, was funny.

But, while I've got you here, I might as well ask you a few things, since you are the one true Black Jesus and everything. A: WHY DID YOU MAKE ME??? I hate my life and spend most of it either stoned, drunk, fornicating or typing crap in this stupid box because I can't formulate an entire novel or even short story. I'm on my way to becoming a personal injury/divorce laywer/minion of evil. My father is like the dad from "The Langoliers" and my girlfriend just told me the only reason she enjoys anal sex is because "That's where I can feel it best, baby!" 2: Why is the sky blue? Really. I don't want to hear any atmospheric bullshit about oxygen and whatnot, just level with me and tell me that's your favorite color. C: Why don't African-American people like me? Is it because I have a small penis and they can sense it, or is it because I use words like colorfast and hydrogenated to describe the layers of my moods? D: Why is it so hard to be a stand up guy these days? I've been watching that John Wayne marathon and it seemed so fucking easy back then! You just sat on your horse, walked funny when you got off and said things like "Pilgrim" and "Partner" and beat the piss out of guys in bars and you were a swell guy. You do that kind of thing nowadays and people think you're a violent, homosexual horse freak. 5: Is it okay that I find "A League of Their Own" intensely erotic? F: Concrete? Where did that come from, dirt wasn't good enough? 7: Cream of Wheat. Why can't I make it without the lumps? It's fucking impossible. I have the same problem with instant mashed potatoes. I can make a fucking quiche and a fucking wicked mozarella chicken, but not Cream of Wheat or Instant mashed potatoes. Is there something wrong with me as a person? H: I get intensely excited by looking at myself naked. (I'm pretty good looking, aside from the small penis but, you already know that.) Am I Going To Hell? 9: I feel sorry for smaller, domestic cars, they are sad and make me want to cry. Not the drivers, the cars. Especially when I see like a Dodge Neon with a terribly fat person in it. It's heart breaking to me. Is this reasonable? J: Whenever I see dandilions I'm reminded of Nazi prison camps. Were there dandilions in Nazi Prison Camps and this is a psychic connection or am I just reading too much into dandilions? 11: I love firearms, blowing big holes in things. I know this is probably just over compensating for having a small penis, but is it reasonable to want to blow huge holes in men with big penises, or is that a latent gay desire? I really hate men with big penises, so the bullets and the gun are obviously, subconsciously a phallic notion, and I love sex with women. Is it possible that I'm bi-sexual and want to kill every man I sleep with that has a big penis. Or maybe I'll only find happiness with a hermaprodite with a small penis or what? L: I find that I'm offended by people's carpets. Why is that? 13: Whenever I go to the mall I feel the old women speedwalkers checking out my butt. Should I be worried? N: Which is the more pure and good? Possessive or Proper Nouns? 15: Why did Lee Marvin have to die? Movies have sucked since he died. P: I recently got this rash in the shape of Carlos Santana. Is it a a religious sign or a go-buy-some-medicated-cream kind of sign? 17: Is that little Pepsi girl the ANTI-CHRIST???? I get a spooky, evil vibe off of her. R: Is it wrong that I find the mystery of what may or may not be stuck under my seat at the movies terrifying, yet absolutely compelling? 19: You know that Coca-Cola commercial with the little kid and the mistletoe and he's trying to get a kiss and not until he pulls out a coke, does the cute girl give him a kiss and steal it? Why didn't that ever happened to me, I always had a Coke. T: Was K-Mart founded by Aliens? It's got a very Alien vibe to it. 21: My recent examinations of my mind while under the influence of whatever it was at the time, has made me enroll in an abnormal sexuality elective. I'm doing quite well, but after some deep soul-searching, I realize I only took the course to justify buying the book. Is there anything wrong with that? V: Did you ever see the episode of "Guiness World Records" with the guy who put clothes pins all over his face and got the record? Well, every now and then I get the feeling that I'm being watched by people who covered in clothes-pins. They always manage to disappear before I look, but lately I've been finding clothespins in the floor. This could be because I told my girlfriend about my abnormal fear of people covered in clothespins and shes fucking with me, or there's a sub-culture of clothespin covered people stalking me. Either way, should I inform the authorities? 23: Sometimes I go to the porn store and read over other guy's shoulders. I do this quite loud until I'm ejected from the store and they get embarrassed and leave. Is this only funny to me? X: If and that's IF I get into Heaven. (Which I should, because I totally believe in God and go to church and all that. Jesus is the man!) can I hang out with guys like Bill Hicks and Sam Kinison and Elvis and Jim Morrison or are they still too cool to hang out with people like me? Seriously. It wouldn't be Heaven if they were, it would more like eh, heaven. (lowercase) 25. Whenever I take a shower I'm afraid to step on the drain, because my Daddy told me that if I did I would get sucked in and all of my bones would be broken by the suction and I would die in agonizing pain and my body would be ground into meat for the sewer gators. Is this true? I don't want to try and find out. and last, but not least, Z: I find myself doubting my faith a lot. There's not a lot of hope in the world and I find that very sad. It makes me very sad sometimes that anything you can say to someone has already been said and therefore has no resonance. Saying that it's "God's Plan" when something bad happens is no help, I mean come on it makes people violent. SO, what I'm asking is: There is a plan, right? You don't just say that because this whole thing called existence has spiraled way out of control and you're just enjoying the ride are you? I ask because not a lot has made sense lately and I remember a time when everything didn't exactly make sense, it's just the question didn't seem that hard?

So there's my questions, Black Jesus. Answer them at your leisure, as I'm sure you're a busy Black Jesus and you have a lot on your mind what with all the prayers and junk mail you must receive. Say hi to your Dad and all that. Ask St. Peter "How's it hanging?" (I know you do that! heh heh.) And my fingers hurt from typing all this, but you must already know that, being Black Jesus and all.

    Edited/unedited -- SPOILERS!!!

    by poxyvonsinister

While I have not yet seen the actual release version, having seen the list of changes and the unedited version, I think the story has been weakened. To have the Joker innocuously killed off-screen by accident as opposed to having the traumatized Tim Drake do it makes absolutely no sense. It's almost saying that evil is only destroyed by accident, not by choice, and takes away much of the tragedy of what happened to Tim. The scene where he breaks down from laughter into tears after shooting the Joker is one of the most heart-breaking scenes I've ever seen, live or animated. But instead, now the Joker conveniently has an unfortunate accicent? Why would that make Tim finally start to snap out of what the Joker had done to him? Imagine if at the end of Return of the Jedi, the Emperor tripped and fell down into the reactor instead of Vader throwing him, and THEN Vader "wakes up." Pretty damn unsatisfying, and that's how I feel about this change. What kills me is the comments made by Bruce Timm where he says they were operating under the impression that since it was direct-to-video, they could push the envelope a little bit more than they could on the network, but that once the network saw it, he was told they wanted the same sensibility as the series. Well, wouldn't the time to mention that have been BEFORE all this effort had been put into the product? Sounds like justification by WB of a knee-jerk reaction to political pressure, if you ask me.

    Re: Batman Beyond

    by jorson2

Granted, we'd all rather see the uncut version. But may I remind you, folks, that you don't have to be gratuitous or indulgent and show EVERYTHING to be an artist. Remember Hitchcock and "Psycho?" There's something to be said for making and wanting to make something that will suit ALL audiences and actually "make money," which is something few of your so highly praised "independent" films seem to be doing. Some might call it pushing the envelope. But why is it that every movie that gets indulgent in the same old things like sex and violence is considered "pushing the envelope"... for the millionth time. Most of the time nowadays, you're hard pressed to find more than three out of twelve movies that are PG-13 anymore, much less PG or G.

I like the "idea" of independent film, as I want to be an independent filmmaker. But the stuff I've seen advertised looks like nothing but overly long, talk-filled trash -- INCLUDING AND ESPECIALLY KEVIN SMITH!!!!

I'm not saying that you don't praise these cleaner movies. But with the exception of "Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker" (which doesn't have the elements I'm about to mention), for crying out loud, how many more movies full of trashy, drug-ridden, self-centered characters can today's audience take? If this is realistic and stuff people relate to, then America's society as gone to the latrine. No wonder there's not even any common courtesy around anymore.

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker

    by data

Well, I bought BB: ROTJ..... It was good. Now, I know that all ye fan boys and girls out there are saying not to buy it because WB butchered it. I never saw the original version, so I don't know. It would have been nice for them to actually have shown JOker die, and for them to have kept in the stuff that was replaced, but from what I understood, the only things they changed was mostly certain scenes that were shown, and words that a character or two says. BIG DEAL! Tim Drake is Joker Jr.? You people acted as if Joker brutally slaughtered him or something! YOU got my hopes up. I thought that the animation could have been better. It was certainly better than Mask of the Phantasm, which is ridiculously held as the best Batman movie to date. If Warners came out with an unedited version, yeah I'd buy that one too, but the plot wasn't THAT great to begin with. The cartoon Joker will never be as cool as the comic book JOker. You people need to accept that. They would never have the cartoon Joker rape and mutilate Barbara Gordon while forcing Jim to watch. They will never show Joker blow Robin up. NEVER! Get over it! The movie was good. I thought It could have been better, but such is life.

    by einhander

The movie is still awesome... you are all acting like this is the greatest travesty in the history of god. Mask of the Phantasm was trimmed too, but no one was bitching and moaning about that then. And you know what? It was still good. Not supporting this movie is doing more damage to animation than 'refusing to see the butchered version.' Not seeing it translates to more kiddie crap animation. Now is not the time to be noble: the movie is good, slight cuts and all. And I found it at Suncoast Video, after searching 5 different stores.

    Bat-kook?

    by godai-kun

I just finished checking out all the edits to ROTJ (thanks Darth Shithead) and it's amazing how incredibly uneccesary most were. Is Bat-kook any better than bat-fart? And would any child make the connection that the women Batgirl is questioning are hookers? (It now looks like she's talking to a hooker and her pimp btw). But there is one change that I do agree with, and that is Tim NOT killing the Joker intentionally. Heros do not kill. Insanity is no excuse. Tim attacks the Joker to save a loved one and not for revenge, and I believe that's conveyed much clearer in the edited version. Not all edits are bad, it'd just be nice if the WB knew when to stop (You can't decapitate dummies? Really!!) .... Also, I appreciate the idealism of this board, but does anyone think that not buying ROTJ is going to help anything? The suits at WB won't think "People aren't buying this because it's cut", they'll think "People just aren't as interested in Batman Beyond as we thought." Sad but true. Yeah, I plunked down $20 for a my DVD copy and was still able to enjoy it despite the cuts. Considering people spend half that to see crap like Vertical Limit just once, it's not that bad. It beats paying $100 for a bootleg or waiting for HBO. But I'm also first in line to sign any petition to get an unedited version released, and if successful, I'll buy that too. I'll support Timm/Dini no matter which version they put out. They get paid no matter what. If that makes me a sheep so be it. Oh, and speaking of crimes made by the WB, when are they going to get rid of those shitty cardboard DVD cases?

    by timmer33

this animated garbage? PEOPLE, it's an animated film about batman! Who cares? Go read a comic book! Harry and Co. are complaining so much about this Batman Beyond thing, and for weeks now I've been thinking, WHO CARES? IT'S A GODDAMN CARTOON, SO WHY WOULD ANYONE INVEST ANY TIME COMPLAINING ABOUT IT!?! Personally, I find it hard to believe that any adult would buy it unless he/she had kids. What's all the fuss about? That a company would alter a movie so it would get a rating so kids could go see it? Jeez, that's such an odd concept. I can't believe all the complaining I've been reading. I know this letter is gonna get tonnes of negative, rude feedback, but I mean come on people, it's a cartoon! HARRY GAVE BLAIR WITCH 2 A POSITIVE REVIEW, AND HE LIKED JAR JAR BINKS FOR GOD'S SAKE! Why would anyone actually listen to the guy?

    I Bought the DVD...

    by capncrunch

...and I must say that I love it. Upon first recieving it, I watched it 3 times the first day. To me, it didn't seemed too toned down, Warner just wanted to make sure that it wasn't TOO violent. For those of you who read a talk back I did a week ago, I was very upset about Warner's editing of this film, but that has all been reversed. To me, Joker's death seems to work better this way. We the audiance know and Batman and Batgirl know that it wasn't directly Tim's fault, but he has been carrying the guilt with him all these years because he DOES feel responisble for the Joker's death. In alot of ways, it makes it more dramatic and creative. I also must say that I am pleased that the disc features a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack...the sound on this disc is completly cool. All of you people who purchased illegal copies of the film, that is fine, you got the unedited version. But the way I see it, by purchasing the final version from Warner, I am paying the salaries of some of the most impressive people in animation.

BATMAN BEYOND:ROTJ AND WHAT I THOUGHT...

    by kolobos rexx

Heyy kiddies. Hellknight here to help you make sense of it all again! I recieved the film as a gift last night, and watched with some friends, my son and my wife. I knew all about the edits, even saved them as stills from an on-line site. As a strong beliver in the protection of artistic visions, I was pretty ticked about the last-minute edits and changes. But, I being a B:TAS fan, watched it open-mindedly, anyway. And truthfully, I was impressed! for the short length of 76 minutes, it told a great story, with cool action-sequences, and the notorious "flashback" sequence was stil very dark, very disturbing, and in my mind, pretty damned adult for a "kid-friendly" film! The breakdown of Tim Drake was really intense, and I have never in the entire history of either "Batman:The Animated Series", "The Adventures of Batman and Robin", or "The New Batman Adventures" seen such absolutely perfect interaction between the Joker and Batman as I saw in that sequence. It totally captured the essence of both characters, in a way even the comics have only captured a few times("Killing Joke" and "Dark Knight Returns" being the most notable examples!), so I was very happy with it, edits or not! Let's face it: the Animated shows have since their conception, being the purest essence of the characters, both Batman and the villains. Even the comics never made characters like Scarecrow, Riddler, Penguin, and others as intense or interesting as the shows. For cryin' out loud, Mr. Freeze didn't even HAVE a character until the show gave him one, he was just a petty thug! The comics actually ended up swiping the origin and early look of the character DIRECTLY from the show!! And how about the Mad Hatter? Was he EVER cool in the comics? The show made him scary and sad at the same time! I could go on and on about how the cartoon improved greatly on the characters, but I won't, as anyone who watched the show knows what I'm talking about. As far as "Batman Beyond" goes, the show's pretty good. Not as good, mind you, but still better than all the Pokemon and its knockoffs. This movie surpassed "Mask of the Phantasam" and "Sub-Zero" for me, and is probably the best animated film I've seen in a very long time. SO, if ya really want to boycott, feel free. But, you are still missing out on a pretty damn good Batman story. So, keep that in mind, and remember: "PLAY NICE."

  • How is Tim traumatized by the joker tripping in a pool of water off camera? Did he push him or what? Personally, I'll stick with my AVI file rip (Jappaneese sub-titles and all) as the one true version. Sure, there's probably still enough cool stuff in the edited version to make it a decent movie (the Joker's final "C'mon McGinnis!" scene is very memorable), but the cuts made totally changed the flow of the narrative in my view. If you've only seen the edited WB version, do yourself a favour, go download CUTEMX and do a search for Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and see the original vision, and say which one you dig better

    Be Realistic

    by zeusnoose

All right. I have been reading the BB: TROTJ talk back discussions for quite some time.
I agree with the person who mentioned how society is going down the drain. Likewise, I do not understand the success of Kevin Smith. I have seen all his movies, and they can be funny and all, but I maintain the reason he's so popular is for referencing pop art/culture. Anyone who cussing and glorifies drugs is real jiggy, huh? I read his Daredevil prose-comic-book and let me tell you, he isn't an ideal storyteller. At least he's admitted that much so there's no reason to spill on more about him. You know, I think Harry K. gets all wound up in curses too. Does he tell children in person "Don't buy that 'fucking' Batman Beyond video, kid!"?
The long winded talk back reply to black jesus about the guy who has anal sex with his girl friend, dude that's sick, but what's the point of all that? Making an outline James Joyce style? Please keep your bedroom business to yourself.
I was even amused when reading someone got ripped off when buying a bootleg. I would never spend $35 for a video unless it's something that, say, Harry the webmaster endorsed or one he trusted as a seller. Besides, I could swear someone was making CDRS of them real cheap on the message boards and thought it a better, safer place to take advantage. My momma told me to never talk to strangers so I would never buy a video from one.
Why do folks think not buying the video hurts the corporation more than the creative talent?
When has a major studio like WB ever put out an unedited cartoon?
Yes, I think WB is being two-face about language usage these days.
I just don't see it happening them ever releasing an un-cut version. No matter how many people write in.
If that were the case wouldn't we already have had the Song Of The South on video? Studios and publishers are so spinless these days. If studios still didn't think cartoons were for kids wouldn't they support an adult genre of it by now? Are they worried about how much money Bokshi made with shows like Fire And Ice and Lord Of The Rings in the 80s? Do they think our sensiblities are worse? I mean, granted the recent Heavy Metal 2000 wasn't the greatest flick in the world, but it played at one art film house in my town. That's not much support.

    by corvette63

    Sorry Harry,
It was advertised on your site, so being a soft minded fan boy I simply must buy it.

What good is having your own website if you don't have control over what appears on it? Maybe I should buy an ad that says Harry is a total sell out!

    by mosdef

EVERY store in my town was sold out of this thing....i got lucky and found the last copy at Tower. Damn this was one good flick! It was still dark and disturbing without the violence, Bruce Timm and Paul Dini really nailed the true evil of the Joker....The scene when Batman and Batgirl arrive at Arkham and hear Harleyquin singing "hush little baby" sent chills down my spine...creepy

    Why I won't buy it-

    by chiisusan

I just want to say to all you people who don't understand what the big deal about this is, if that's how you feel, fine. Go on with your lives and shut the fuck up. You just don't get it and you never will. You probaly can't understand why a 39 year old man buys comic books or anime. I have liked Batman Beyond since day one. I was so ready to hate it, it didn't fit in the comic universe, it was some dreck that the WB cooked up to bastardize the Batman name, it was something new. But damnit, it worked. It wasn't dumbed down for kids, yet it still appealed to them (Hmmm, funny how that can work). Warner Bros. made ridiculous changes, that as far as I can know, no one had asked for. I don't care if someone else goes ahead and buys it, that is their prerogative. I won't. I wrote a letter to Warner Bros, telling them why. Will the creative team be harmed from my not buying the DVD? Probably not, they've already been paid. Will they suffer in ways other than finacial, doubtful, they are all that the WB has going from them, outside of Pokemon crap, and they just buy that from japan. Will Warner's recover their investment, probably, but not from my pocket (barring an uncut release).

    I must retract my accusation

    by pseudonym

Last night I think I was the first (and probably only) to pose the question whether or not the Batman Beyond ads meant Harry had sold out. It would seem that he has not in this case, and I humbly retract what I said. Harry, I apologize, man. I should've known you had enough integrity to not willingly advertise a movie you ranted repeatedly against on your site.

    TENDER BRANSON

    by black jesus

How about that Batman Beyond! It's a great feeling when i get through to troubled ones such as yourself. Now... before i begin, i only ask one favor from you in return for my all-knowing wisdom: Let me have anal sex with your girlfriend. You see... it's been a lonely 2000 years up here in Heaven. Yeah, yeah sure... we have big-tittied naked angels that'll suck cock at the snap of a finger... But anal sex? That's a big no-no up here. It's been too long since i've felt the pleasure of a nice tight ass wrapped around my heavenly penis. And i get the impression that she's pretty into it... though in your case i guess she'd have to be. But i must warn you though... it's true what they say. Once you go black, you never go back. Hell... i fucking invented that phrase. So what do you say? Not to much to ask is it? Now, without further delay, let's answer some of those questions. #1. Why did i make you? Well... let's see. To tell you the truth you were an accident. You see... one night a while back i was getting pretty fucking horny, and of course... all the cock-sucking big-tittied angels were sleeping. So i decided to make a little sex show of my own. If i couldn't participate, i could at least watch. A live porno so to speak. So i looked down at earth and saw your parents. I snapped my fingers and the next thing i knew you're mom and dad were going at it like two speed-induced rabbits with A.D.D. And i'll tell you... you're mom ain't no silvia saint, but Jesus H. (what the fuck does the H stand for anyway?) Christ I ain't never seen a bitch fuck like that before. But anyway, a few weeks later your mom confessed to having not used birth control like she was supposed to and 9 months later... well, better make it 7 months later, you're sorry ass was born (followed by the rest of your body) Next question. #2: I have no fucking idea why the sky is blue... you should ask my stupid-ass dad, he's the genius that thought that up. He just sits around thinkin' shit up and i'm the one that get's blamed for it. On to... #3: My guess is African American people don't like you because you're white. Ever since that whole slave ordeal (even though they started the whole thing over there in africa and it was eventually the white man who set them free) they just seem to think white folks owe them something... nevermind that no-one alive today was alive back when they were slaves, but you know... why let a good fight die? next. #4: Well, first off... John Wayne was a faggot. No, no, i'm serious. He's been up here trying to butt-fuck everybody with a dick that comes through those golden gates... even the fucking chicks with dicks... and that's fucking nasty if you ask me. But seriously, the reason it's so hard to be a stand up guy is because there's no such thing... all you stupid humans and your y2k bug... you'll just never learn. #5: Sure it's ok to find "A league of their own" erotic. I mean... who wouldn't want to eat a mile of Rosie O'donnel's shit just to get to her ass-hole? I know i would. #6: Concrete Vs. Dirt... Hmmm... I knew there must have been some damage when you're fuckalicious mother dropped you on your head that time. Let's see... you go out and try to make a wall out of plain old dirt and get back to me on that one. #7: You're abso-fucking-lutely right. Cream of Wheat is a bitch. I've seen many a Cock-sucking big-tittied angel go absolutely crazy and cut their nipples off after trying to get the lumps out. I'd like to meet the son-of-a-bitches who invented that shit. #8: No, you won't go to hell for looking at yourself naked... but Jesus man... you need to do something about that little-ass penis. Buy a fucking cock-pump or something. I'm suprised you can even fuck a girl at all with that thing. #9: I drive a Dodge Neon... it used to be that shit-nasty blueish purple color... but GODDAMN! i couldn't drive around heaven expecting to pick up chicks with a pussy-ass color like that... so i painted the fucker black. Now... Give me a P! Give me a U! Give me a NTANG! What does it spell?! PUNTANG? Well, you know what i mean. #10: Of course there were dandilions in Nazi prison camps... what do you think all the poor Jews used for clothing? Phew... glad I invented that one. You guys don't need anymore naked starving homeless people down there on earth. #11: Well, the only way to find out is to stick your cock in a guys ass and find out. I'll be watching the news. #12: You're offended by carpet because it brings back repressed memories of your slut mom lying on the floor naked dry-humping your hamster. #13: Yes #14: Possessive nouns for sure... the more you use Proper nouns, the more you increase your chances of going to Hell and getting ass-raped by a deer. #15: Lee Marvin didn't have to die. You see... whenever some retard, such as yourself, is born on earth that means somebody cool has to die. So next time you see some retard looking at you funny and making weird noises with his mouth, just punch him in the face and yell: "Black Jesus says retards ruined the earth!" That'll show 'em. #16: Go buy some medicated cream. #17: No, she's just a little rich whore looking for an extra buck. A little kid in Texas named Jimmy is the Anti-Christ... he's plotting his evil takeover as we speak. #18: You know, i've always felt the same way when at a movie. I remember the time i went to see "Debbie Does Dallas" at the Tattle Tails amphitheater. I was too scared to sit down much less feel under the seat... but at the same time i was curious... go figure. #19: It never happened to you because she knew you have a small dick... women can sense those things. Or maybe all the women you've tried that with are lesbians #20: Yes #21: No, unless the abnormal sexuality elective teaches you to tittie-fuck fat 13-year-old boys while ramming a double-ended dildo up your ass. #22: Yes... inform the authorities at once. Fucking Psycho. #23: No, it's funny to me too... i remember that time you were reading over that guy's shoulder who was looking at the latest issue of "Anal's only good when it's with a man" That was some funny shit. #24: When you get to heaven you won't want to hang out with Jim Morrison... we have so many fine Cock-sucking Big-Tittied naked Bi-sexual angels up here you won't even give a shit... but you may not be coming here anyway if you don't get that cock-pump i told you about. #25: Don't worry... you can go ahead and try it... but let me warn you, the last guy who did actually got as far as being regurgitated by a sewer gator where he lay until a radioactive lab rat came along and decided he wanted a little snack... I'm not saying it'll happen to you, but hey, you never know. #26: Let me tell you a little story my father told me about existence. One day he sat me down and said "Little Black Jesus, one day when you grow up and inherit the throne of GOD then you can tell all the children that there's no reason to be afraid of the y2k bug. All of existence has spiraled out of control and I'm just here for the ride, but you... you have the power to change all that. You have the power to make a difference in this universe. Stand up for what you believe in. Have anal sex with Tender Branson's girlfriend. Make ammends with your mother. And most of all populate heaven with as many Cock-Sucking Big-Tittied naked bi-sexual angels as you can find, because when i'm retired and have nothing to pass the time (it is eternity), i'm going to be getting my cock sucked 24/7. And hey... i think i'll make the sky blue." So there you have it Tender Branson... all the wonderous answers to your alphabetical questions. Thank you for listening. and Fuck the Bozo's!

    by wungolioth

...who were suggesting that not buying this video will hurt the artists and the franchise, it doesn't matter, as someone already said, these artists get paid long before the movie is released and WBKids has already canceled Batman Beyond, they did it weeks ago. What this does to plans for a future live-action film I can only guess, but my gut feeling is not to hold my breath.

The Joker didn't just decide to pull a lever. He grabbed onto it to prevent himself from slipping. I thought it was pretty clear. Don't get me wrong, the barbecue scene and Tim's prolonged laughter should not have been cut, but you still can't convince me that Robin shooting Joker would have been better. Though he's only in a few episodes, Tim Drake is still my favorite Batman:TAS character, and because he was able to restrain himself from killing (both Bruce and Joker)in ROTJ, I have so much more respect for him as a hero. In the end, it comes down to what you want from the film. Sure, the Joker having so much control over Robin that he could make him kill would have made the film more dramatic, but I'd rather Robin have a stong enough will to overcome his programming. It's just more important to me than establishing Joker as a villian. Both views are understandable. Agree to disagree, I guess..... Good luck to all the people boycotting this movie. I sincerely hope your plan works (seriously). I guess I'm just a little more cynical than you guys.

    by black jesus

I've never seen either version (violence is forbidden up here in beutiful Heaven), but knowing my personall tastes and being an artist myself, i feel i would definately like the uncut version better. It is the artist's original interpretation and hasn't been watered down for the kids. I find it very irritating that WB won't just put out the uncut version for us who are "mature" enough and would prefer to see it. Of course... this is America, and in the wake of such tragedies as Columbine... well, you might as well throw that whole "freedom of speech" thing out the window. What ever happened to the land of the free? It seems every day the government has more and more control over what we watch, and what we can listen to. The other day i had a flat tire, so i went to the gastation that just 2 weeks ago had free air. Well, now it's 50 fucking cents for a minutes worth of air. WTF? it just got me thinking... so air for you tires costs money... hmmm... lets see... food costs money... water costs money... shit, the next thing you know it'll cost money just for oxygen to breath. We're already at a point now in which if you don't have money, you're basically dead. The whole fucking world revolves around money... if you have it, you're everything, if you don't you're dead. Go figure.

    by galvatron427

Amazing. Harry, you'll scream about how the edited version of BB: ROTJ is total crap, that the original is genius, so never, never buy the edited version . . . yet you let WB advertise the flick on your site. You "aren't involved" in the advertising? Bullshit. It's YOUR site. Tell your third party that they shouldn't accept ads from certain companies. If you don't have the power to tell your third party who to advertise with, then 1) that was a terrible business decision to give a third party that kind of power, and 2) who the hell's really in charge of AICN, anyway? To hear you rant and rave about the hypocrisy of WB and the watered down version of BB: ROTJ, and then to see your site advertise it . . . isn't there a certain phrase about a pot and a kettle? Where's the integrity? Take some responsiblity, Harry, and stop blaming stupid shit on others. If you were really that passionate about Dini's original vision -- or if you cared at all -- you would've found a way to make sure YOUR site would NEVER promote the edited version in any way, shape, or form.

Even the edited version is worth seeing

    by pop culture prof

I was really disappointed too at hearing of the cuts. But Harry's dead wrong when he says that if Warner's refuses to release the uncut version, you should "choose never to see it." I tried--and failed--to get a copy of the original version, so I went out and bought the DVD instead. The released version--though significantly toned down--is still arguably the best superhero movie ever made and still a very dark, very daring look at the whole Batman mythos. The sense of Robin's guilt is still there, if somewhat muddled. If the article at IGN Film Force detailing the cuts is accurate, most of what's lost are shots of characters being stabbed and tortured. The essence of the movie is still there. We shouldn't let an obsession with every bit of ultra-violence, which a lot of comics needlessly play to, blind us to Timm, Dini, and company's considerable achievement. That achievement survived the censors. Don't let the fans kill it now.

Seeing as how I can't sink to Black Jesus' level, I deduce that you are WHITE SATAN!!!!! Yes, that's right, WHITE SATAN is racist, bigoted, homophobic, ignorant, sexist, cruel and willing to do anything to keep Black Jesus down!!!! Well, I have only one thing to say to you, WHITE SATAN!!! GET THEE BEHIND ME, FOUL WHITE THING!!!!! But, seriously, I give you some pretty good questions and that's the best you can come up with? I think that having Tim not kill Joker by shotting him makes us feel more for him and makes him a true hero. It shows that Tim has the strength to over come joker"s brainwashing. Also while I liked the scenes i saw of the torture making batman react with shock is better. If it makes THE BATMAN step back in shock then you know it must be bad. But I think that the explanation of Bruce's bum leg should have been left in. I stil hope we can see the uncut version but I want die if we don't.

    by data

I am Data. My positronic brain has confirmed that all of you are quite insane. Futhermore, I do wish to see the original version of Batman Beyond: return of the Joker. I have seen the edited version, and as it was fairly good, the scene in which young Tim breaks down is not as effective when the Joker merely slips and is electrified by accident. I agree with the fact that this is actually what is causing kids to go insane themeselves. One kid watched an episode of Power Rangers, kills another child, and suddenly something we have been doing for years becomes wrong. In case any of you haven't looked at Tom and Jerry cartoons as of late, they've cut out a significant portion in which I enjoyed as a child merely seven years ago. Even the racial jokes are taken out, which are rather funny. I'm not a bigot, but when Jerry dips his head in that ink, and comes up looking like Al Jolson, I laugh my android ass off. I've been thinking about an interview with Bruce Timm in Wizard right before the Batman series went to WB. He made the statement that they actually had more freedom at that network. So was that just a lie to get viewers, or did he actually believe this? The series was far more adult driven when on Fox. Also, I would advise "Darth Sith Jesus" and "Black Jesus" to cease their blaspheming. I doubt they would look back upon this as a good thing when they are rotting in the fiery pits of hell.

    What...?

    by grimjack99

Why do people who don't give a shit about the subject bother posting on talk back? More to the point, why do I care that they're posting? Because I come to this site looking for other peoples' views on topics that are of interest to me. I don't want to see some nutjob's rant on big-titted bisexual angels or on how anal sex isn't allowed in heaven (dude, you don't have issues, you have libraries), I want to see semi-well-thought-out opinions on the stuff I want to talk about. I don't need scholarly debate (although THAT would be fraggin' cool), but I'd like to see better than what I've been seeing lately from these boards. For that matter, you should too. This is the only time I'm going to get into this, so I'm in the mood to make it count. If you see an article and it turns out not to be something you care about, LEAVE IT THE F*CK ALONE! Don't leave a long-winded rant about how we "losers" don't have lives and we all live with our parents in some Oedipal-Freudian nightmare existence and subsist on Twinkies and Pepsi with action figure collections that hold up the roof in some places and an almost encyclopedic knowledge of comic book history for the past fifty years and an almost stalker-like lust for Sarah Michelle Gellar and Carrie-Anne Moss (yow!)and how we're all going to wind up dead anyhow so why are we bothering to care about these stupid kiddie cartoons anyhow they're made for kids so why do you care you're not a kid are you so why do you care are you somehow still a kid inside did you not develop emotionally are you stunted AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!! Yes, I have issues. I have many, almost as many as BlackJesus, but let's not digress too far. For now, I'll sum up by saying that posting inflammatory statements that are targetted towards the intended audience of this site is a form of intolerance. I look upon intolerance as kindly as I look upon child pornography. No, there's not a whole lot I can do from a keyboard, but you'd better pray if I ever meet you in person, and you know who you are, you (truly) emotionally-underdeveloped bastards...

    Batman Beyond Movie

    by lordashtar-x

I bought the edited Batman Beyond movie on dvd. I went to a few webpages that had info on the edited scenes and checked them out. My conclusion is that even with the edited scenes the movie stands as one of the best and is worthy of of continuating the Batman legacy. While it could have been the greatest Batman animated feature without the edits is is still a powerful movie. I do highly recommend adding this to your video collection.

    SIGH

    by jak flash 2000

They shoulnt butcher a good film. Because it is an animation they think that means that the film is stricly for children. THEY ARE VERY WRONG. Look at Manga Anmine and Spawn. All animations but not allowed for children. You would think that Warners would learn from all the fans but no. SIGH. Maybe when the films sales flop then they will realise what they have done.

    CuteMX for Xmas

    by dr.007

OK how about all of us who have ROTJ on avi rename it and put it out there? we could use other villains names or give out questions, the answer to which is the file name? It seems doable to me. By the way, Ive seen the original cut and agree that the watered down version sounds fairly unappealing now.

    by black jesus

yeah, thanks a lot dad. I'll keep that warning in mind the next time i say something like... Hello, my name is Black Jesus and i am an alcoholic. You don't have to think my shit is funny, not everyone has the same sense of humor. But please don't tell me what i should and shouldn't do. If you think i'm going go to hell, then that's fine, think what you want. But don't try to be some evangelist and right my wrongs. I'm capable of making my own decisions.

To all those content with the butchered version...

    by truphan

...you apparently have missed what this video is about. I have seen the cuts this version has made to the movie and it COMPLETELY changes the entire statement of the film. The film would have been better off not being made, since its very message was changed from its original. No, it more that a couple of changes in vocal statemnts and fight sequences, it changes the journey of the characters. I read a person say that "Tim Drake is just Joker Jr., right?" This person obviously hadn't seen the uncut version, where we watch Drake suffer from the insanity that takes over. There is no message with the movie, the film's just there, leaving us no better. So if you think that this movie is just as good butchered as it was before, I want you to realize that you aren't even watching the same movie.

batman beyond-the real issue at hand

    by r9000

Hi there...everyone seems to be really upset about the "cuts" on Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. I just boght the "Disney" version, and I have to say that after hearing all about what I should have seen from people who are in the know about what was actually cut to what i saw, i don't really see what the problem is. I think it was well written, and their decision to tone down the violence was probably a good idea...and why I say that is this: After the movie was over, I got a really upset feeling. An upset feeling about the direction this show has gone...and upset about the mistakes they have made that they can't take back...making this movie any more tragic or violent would've probably made me feel even worse. Do any of you know what I am talking about? Didn't anyone else get that feeling in the pit of their stomach after watching this movie? To find out that these characters we once loved will never be seen again in the light we used to see them in? We will never see an episode like "Never Fear" or "Growing Pains" again...where Tim learns lessons. Now whenever we think of Robin, we are going to think about the horrible thing that happened to this poor kid...Isn't anyone else besides me upset that the Bruce Wayne of the future wrecked every relationship he once had? Wasnt that what the show was supposed to be all about? Bruce regaining his sense of family? Isnt anyone upset that both of Bruce's surrogate sons left? Doesnt it repulse anyone that our sweet little Barbara got romantically involved with her first love's foster father? That She and Bruce could do that to Dick...? Its just wrong...I always hoped that the aftermath of episodes like "old wounds" would put Dick back in Bruce's life...that maybe Barbara and he could get back together...that Tim and Dick could get to know eachother the way foster brothers should...these are things that were never adressed in the durration of all three series...and these should be the building blocks that the show should be based on. I feel those decisions were not even well thought out or even considered. I feel robbed. i feel like as I faithfully loved this show from the start and it was for nothing. Because in the end, there is no real happy ending. Sure, the last scene in the hospital was sort of redeeming...but at the same time that scene didnt fix what was broken. And there is no way to fix it for me. Even worse, i am sur ethey are going to address where Dick went someday soon, and again, it is going to be more of the same...spite, regret, and anger...and then what? Closure for two elderly men? Too little too late.

    I have to agree...

    by emerson

...with the post that opened this thread. Tim Drake's fate is just way too harsh, edits or no edits. The removal of the most graphic moments doesn't remove the implication, nor does it change the way Tim's life turned out. The obvious post-traumatic stress disorder, the possession issue and the inevitable re-traumatization that causes, the sheer banality of his adult existence after the promise and heroism of his youth...it's a terrible thing to do to a character of that stature, especially one so many very young children identify with so directly.

Not that I'm in favor of the editing that was done; the movie's made, the damage is done. There's no point in chopping it up and releasing a version that doesn't make sense; if that's how the story's going to be, it only makes sense to go all the way with it. I do feel, however, that the managing editors made a mistake approving the storyline to begin with.

Bottom line: If they didn't like the story, they shouldn't have

    by superninja

It ends there...once they greenlit the film what was done was done. The last poster is right -- just because they clean up the violence doesn't remove the implication for anyone with 1/2 a brain. The producers are the ones who should catch hell for this, not Dini or anyone else. It's a shame that they cleaned it up, really, because it sounds like a dark and gritty film for adults. But again, there has been some VERY disturbing subject matter that has made airtime already. I will mention two episodes I remember clearly -- a Batman "dream" episode where Barbara/Batgirl falls to her death and a Superman EP where the villain gets the gas chamber at the end of the show. In fact, the Superman EP is a perfect example of cutting the actual violence, but using inuendo to tell the audience the man dies in the end.

  • Why does the bos for the movie say that the film is still 76 minutes long? Can anyone clarify that? Does Warner know that we know that the movie is shorter now and is trying to trick us? What's going on here?? I love the uncut version by the way, very nice. very nice.

  • I mean, Goddammit....th' Japanese are always one-uppin' us when it comes t'releasin' huge box sets containin' entire seasons and/or series in one convenient package. Finally, th' US distributors are followin' suit. But it ain't enough. "Simpsons", "X-"Files", "Kindred: The Embraced", "Sex in th' City", "Sopranos: Season One", "Buffy: Season One" [well, eventually], etc.... but no "Batman?!"

Here's what they should do. Release them in Season long increments; or a complete collection ala th' beautiful Monty Python Flying Circus Boxed Set; then release them individually like "Star Trek". This way, everyone can have their fucking cake the way they want it 'eh? As for th' uncut release.... Include it as an incentive for people to buy a Limited Edition complete collection boxed set or a BB-only boxed set. I'm tired of Warner screwing up DVD releases ala their new "South Park" disks [and th' first "Batman Beyond: Rebirth" DVD.

  • It's all true! (Well, I don't know for sure about that last bit, but it's very likely!) As I'm sure many of you have read on previous AICN, BB:ROTJ forums, Tommy and I have had a bit of a falling out over a bootleg tape. (To say the least!) Well, as of this moment, Tom has informed me that not only will he tell the FBI and WHV about my pirate activities, he will give them both the group-email list of ALL my contacts. Not only is he out to get me, but EVERYONE even remotely associated with this fiasco! All this because Tommy can't stand some MINOR audio distortion on his bootleg tape! Let me first apologize to everyone who has become an unwilling part of this mess; this was certainly NEVER my intent. Secondly, if I'm indicted in this matter, I will see to it that the only people who burn for it are myself and Tom Brennan. (Tom seems to forget that it takes more than one person to make a conspiracy.) Finally, I just wanted to let everyone know what a psycho scumbag Tom Brennan is...Please, Tom, for the love of God, let it rest! (And stop touching those little boys!)

  • More lies from this idiot. I'm not going to get into the whole thing about what kind of crap tape this guy sent me and what his replies were when I simply asked for a replacement. If anyone cares(which I'm sure no one does) you can look in the archived posts regarding BB ROTJ.
Now he has to make up stories that I am going to report anyone on his mailing list to WHV. Thats really desperate Michael. The only one in trouble is you. This guy is just full of lies and nonsense. If anyone wants to know the real deal, you can email me personally...I do not feel the need to waste anymore time on this board about this idiot.

Why 76 Minutes? Because the WB is CHEAP

    by galvatron427

The 76 minute time listed on the BB: ROTJ is NOT some sort of X-Files scam to make fanboys think they have an uncut version of the tape. It's very simple -- boxes for the videotapes were printed BEFORE the shit hit the fan and before the cuts were made. Nobody at the WB was going to reprint the packaging for several thousand videotapes, especially when only a diehard Batman Beyond fan would notice the discrepancy. Yes, it's dishonest, but it's also a money decision, like most things in life. Don't read anything into the fact that most boxes list a 76 minute running time apart from the WB wanted to save a few bucks. I don't think the suits care enough about us fanboys to try any Machiavellian tricks on us anyway.

    Mozer, Aunty. . . You're BOTH Idiots!

    by cowblaster

SHUT THE HELL UP! The two of you sound like a couple of 5-year-olds! Aunty, fess-up. You sent the guy a bad tape. All he asked for was a replacement, and you tried to grill him for more money. Personally, I think people like yourself, willing to take advantage of a desperate fan, are among the lowest forms of human life I've ever known. All you can think about is money. And when Mozer tries to smeer your name, instead of redeeming yourself in any way, you go on this big, immature hate-campaign that seems to be steamed by a retarded 12-year-old with all this "Mozer's probably a pedophile!" crap. Do you have any idea how rediculous you're making yourself look to the rest of us? As for you, Mozer. . . shame on you. You should have known better than to deal with someone who wanted to charge $30 for a bootleg, and advertized on a semi-public message board. I can't believe you actually expected quality customer service from a faceless video bootlegger who isn't bound by things like legal garuntees, nor even a return policy. Truth be told; you're lucky you even GOT a tape, let alone one that was good quality. Now, both of you go to opposite ends of the sand box and don't you so much as look at eachother until the end of recess.

    Cowblaster's right...

    by aunty-wb

...at least about the whole name-calling thing. (Tom started it! hee-hee) As to me making money off this tape: why shouldn't I? ("After all, we are not communists!") At least I wasn't trying to gouge anyone by asking for $100/ tape. And I maintain that my product was a quality one, marred only by a few minor defects. Consider this my very last post on the subject. ("Whew!", said all, as they breathed a huge sigh of relief)
Merry Christmas everyone, and a happy New Year! (And Tom, sorry about the pedophile remark; I'm sure it's all under control now...)

f Cutemx or filetopia does not work, get a high speed connection (try your university or cyber cafe if it's not in your
area. Get goto www.forteinc.com and download the agent software. If you have a decent provider, they should subscribe
to a newsgroup service. Fill out the appropriate info for your server and such. Go to one of the cartoon newsgroups and
see if ROTJ is posted. Download it. Use Winrar to assemble the pieces. Go to www.vcdhelp.com and get the sw to
convert it into VCD format so you can play it on your DVD player. If you want you can dub your DIGITAL copy to tape.
