Lord & Miller's Han Solo Spin-off movie starts shooting!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I've said it before and I'll say it a hundred more times, probably, but the pedigree behind the Han Solo spin-off movie is the reason why I'm getting excited for it. You have Lawrence and Jon Kasdan attacking the screenplay and Phil Lord and Chris Miller directing all within the warm embrace of the incredibly smart Lucasfilm brain trust.

My instinct tells me to trust them at the same time it's telling me I don't know how a Young Han Solo movie could possibly work. That conflict is real, however I've learned to trust that creative team over a number of "this won't work... wait, it's the best thing ever!" projects.

We'll see if my big ol' gut is wrong this time out soon enough. The Han Solo flick began principal photography today and Chris Miller announced it in a very good, geeky way referencing one of the more controversial elements of the Han Solo character...

You'll remember the working title Red Cup was known since the two very first came onboard the flick and you'll also remember that Solo is the brand of the red plastic cups you first think of when you hear that title... but just in case you're new to minute Star Wars geeky details then there's your explanation.

Kick ass, fellas. Can't wait to see what you lot give us with this story!
