ABC Has Hired A Marvel/Netflix Showrunner To Run ABC's New Marvel Series THE INHUMANS!!

I am – Hercules!!

Scott Buck, whose TV career stretches all the way back to writing episodes of ABC’s “Coach,” will serve as showrunner for ABC/Marvel’s 8-episode “The Inhumans” series.

Buck is also showrunner on Netflix/Marvel’s upcoming “Iron Fist” series.

Launching on ABC in September, “The Inhumans” will not focus on the inhumans Daisy Johnson and new head of SHIELD Jeffrey Mace, but rather Black Bolt, Medusa and the rest of their superpowered family.

Buck’s other credits include network sitcoms “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “Nikki,” as well as the pay-cable hourlongs “Six Feet Under,” “Dexter” and “Rome.”

The first two episodes of “The Inhumans” will be screened on Imax cinema screens in September days before the same episodes (with added footage) hit ABC.

While ABC shows like “Agents of SHIELD” and “Agent Carter” and Netflix shows like “Jessica Jones” and “Luke Cage” all exist in the same onscreen universe (the same universe that houses the big screen’s Avengers, Iron Man, Thor and Captain America movies), the ABC and Netflix series have barely acknowledged each other.

Maybe this will change now that ABC and Netflix are using the same Marvel showrunner.
