Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I get a pretty decent amount of enjoyment out of Millennium's “Has Fallen” series. Gerard Butler as a determined, ass-kicking Secret Service dude in an over-the-top cheesy action spectacle? These films aren't quite as gritty as the Cannon classics of yore, but they come pretty close to scratching that itch.
Luckily for me, the powers the be keep pumping these things out and a new one is in the works called ANGEL HAS FALLEN, per Deadline. Angel is the codename for Air Force One, but if Deadline is correct it's not the president being targeted this time, but rather Mike Banning himself.
Someone out there isn't happy with the man and is trying to take him down... and I guess any collateral damage is going to be pretty big, too, considering the company he keeps.
It's a Die Hard With A Vengeance turn. The guy who happened to be there to thwart the bad shit two times out is now the reason the bad shit is happening.
As long as they keep making these things cartoonishly violent and fun they can pump out “Has Fallen” films for the next twenty years as far as I'm concerned. What about you?
