Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. So, the big whopper story today is that of course Lando Calrissian will show up in Lord & Miller's currently untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story and he will be played by noneother than Mr. Donald Glover.
That was my face when I heard the news, too, Don!
Some little asshole voice in the back of my mind keeps trying to say that a Young Han Solo movie isn't what I want as a Star Wars fan and every time it does I just brandish Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's names like Father Merrin holding a cross and the voice shrieks and disappears.
These two guys have made their career on creating great movies out of concepts that shouldn't work and the cast they're building is pretty damn perfect. This could be the moment they trip up, but I wouldn't bet against these guys. They know what they're doing.
Glover's got the smartass side of Lando covered as well as the boundless charm. Can't wait to see how he plays off of Alden Ehrenreich's Young Solo. He also damn well better rock a sweet-ass cape.
