Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The first of many re-issues of Episode VII hits this November in a special edition that includes a 3D version alongside the regular 2D version and some new special features including more deleted scenes and, most interestingly, a JJ Abrams directors commentary track.
Today the net got hit by two clips from Abrams' commentary, both focused on the character of Rey. The Star Wars Show got one, which contains the director's thoughts on the "forceback" moment when Rey finds Luke's saber and Yahoo got the other one, in which JJ talks about Ava DuVernay's notes which impacted the final duel between Rey and Kylo Ren.

I know that these things are closely guarded, but I'm still very much looking forward to listening to Abrams' full commentary and getting an insight into the process of setting the foundation for the still unfolding world of new Star Wars films.
