Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Our friends at Collider have a pretty great little scoop regarding the next Deadpool flick currently in development. We know Cable will appear in some form (a natural fit because Deadpool and Cable had their own crazy book for a good long time) and there was speculation that Domino might pop up as well.
If you don't know her from the comics, she's a mercenary/assassin who has the mutant ability to alter probability in her favor... which basically means she changes the odds of improbable things into her favor, making her one of the luckiest people to walk the Earth.
Collider confirms that Domino is in the movie and that a who's who of talented actresses are currently testing for the part including Sienna Miller, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lizzy Caplan, Sylvia Hoeks, Bond Girl Stephanie Sigman and Kingsman and Star Trek Beyond's Sofia Boutella.
Whomever wins the role it's for sure that Domino is in the movie and that it's not going to be Wade's sweetheart Vanessa, which was a big fan theory after the release of the first film.
Deadpool creatore Rob Liefeld posted this cool image comparison to his Instagram showing a few of the contenders alongside the comic book version of her character.
I'm personally pulling for Mary Elizabeth Winstead because I know she's a lock for matching smart-ass wit with Ryan Reynolds and we all know she kicks all the ass.
One of the great joys of 2016 was seeing Deadpool make so much money. He's long been a favorite of mine and it makes me so damn happy that an R-rated meta dickhead superhero story caught so much fire.
Can't wait for the sequel!
