Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The release of Marvel's latest is only a couple short weeks away and from all indications the studio is going out on a limb with this one. That certainly worked with Guardians of the Galaxy and the company is very aware that the one thing that can kill the giant house of cards they're building is if the brand starts feeling stale.
I can't tell you if Doctor Strange is going to work or not, but I'll always appreciate creatively swinging for the fences.
Marvel released a snippet of Michael Giacchino's score and it's fuckin' weird, guys. In a good way. There's synth in there, a heavy South Asian influence, a little BBC TV and what sounds to me like an '80s buddy cop feel (like Midnight Run).
It's definitely crafting a unique identity for Stephen Strange. Take a listen and let me know what you think!
