Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Zack Snyder's Justice League has wrapped and is now in its long post process. The film covers a lot of ground if the little taste I got earlier this year when I visited the set is any indication. We'll see not only Metropolis and Gotham, but a glimpse inside of STAR Labs, the Amazon and, of course, Atlantis.
Aquaman isn't the only swimmer in the flick. We'll also be introduced to Willem Dafoe as Vulko, mentor to Aquaman, and Amber Heard as Mera, Queen of Atlantis and (at least in the books) wife of Aquaman.
Today we get our first look at Heard in costume as Mera thanks to a debut over at IGN.

There's a lot in this DC world that's going to require a little bit of suspension of disbelief from the audience. A rich dude dressed up as crime-fighting bat, a flying alien guy in a red cape, a lasso-wielding lady warrior, a half-robot killing machine and a really fast smart-ass, but I think the most difficult task Snyder has in this film is making Atlantis (and its inhabitants) work.
Marvel had a similar struggle with Thor and Asgard, but were able to jump that hurdle pretty handily thanks in great part to Chris Hemsworth's charm and Thor's dynamic with the other Avengers.
We'll see if Snyder and Co. can pull it off. I've got fingers crossed that they do because I love it when these big tentpole flicks go a little crazy. What do you folks think?
