Exclusive Clip: Monster Squad's Fred Dekker picks his favorite genre movies currently on Shudder!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The fine folks at Shudder, the cool-ass horror streaming service, have had regular guests show up to currate some of their favorite films avialable to stream at this very moment. Their latest guest is my good buddy Fred Dekker who talks to another buddy of mine, Sam Zimmerman, about his four picks from the archives.

Fred of course directed The Monster Squad and Night of the Creeps and has had a hand in Enterprise and is currently helping his old pal Shane Black on his Predator reboot/sequel thing.

I've had the pleasure of bullshitting movies with Fred for years now and can tell you he's a real deal cinephile and knows his shit. His choices below reflect that. He picks films from John Carpenter, George Romero, John Landis and Steve Miner and explains why in the below video, which I'm getting to debut for you nutballs.

Enjoy!

Gotta agree with Fred on Day of the Dead. That's totally how shit goes down if the zombie apocalypse actually happens. It won't be walled city World War Z style heroics, it'll be bickering in some bunker and undermining our only shot at solving the problem with testosterone-fueled ego.

Day of the Dead, House, An American Werewolf In London and Assault on Precinct 13 are all available on Shudder right now. If you're a horror fan you really should check out the service! Tons of quality genre, both obscure and obvious, at your disposal.
