The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day: A familiar hallway under construction during the making of STAR WARS!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Forgive the quick, fast, down and dirty version of today's column, but I have to run out the door to catch an international flight in less than 10 minutes, so I'm quickly throwing this post together and getting it on the site before I leave.

One thing I do want to say is that today's Behind the Scenes image is a simple one, but it struck me in a pretty profound way when I saw it. It's a nearly empty shot of the hallway of Leia's Blockade Runner ship from the beginning of the very first Star Wars. It's an iconic hallway in film history and this photo shows it only partially constructed. You see the lights, a couple of crew members and walls of the stoundstage through the open ceiling.

This image is EXACTLY what it's like seeing one of these striking sets with your own eyes. The illusion is slightly broken, but the majesty of movie magic is still there, too. I love that weird in-between feeling. Here's the shot! Enjoy!

I'm on a set visit all day tomorrow, but will try to get tomorrow's pic posted either before I head out in the morning or after I get back. Late or early, it's gotta go up or there'll be time paradox!
