Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The good folks at Titan Books have an awesome collection of BTS material out there called Aliens: The Set Photography. I've seen the book in person and it's awesome. Newt herself, Ms. Carrie Henn, provides a lot of the background text and there are hundreds of amazing, rare behind the scenes images.
Titan has graciously offered me a few images from this book to debut here. Starting today and going through the weekend I'll be posting a new picture from the making of James Cameron's Aliens.
This photo is rather cool because it shows James Cameron operating the camera for one of the video point of view shots when the Colonial Marines first investigate the hive of the Aliens. I had no idea he personally shot some of that footage and now I do! So, here's Cameron and Bill Paxton as everybody's favorite smart-ass coward, Hudson (©Twentieth Century Fox). Check it out:
