Here's how they do that giant Leap of Faith jump in ASSASSIN'S CREED... for reals!

Hey folks, Harry here...   ASSASSIN'S CREED directed by Justin Kurzel of MACBETH directing fame - is one of the holiday films I'm most looking forward to.  One, Frank Marshall is producing which I can easily put my faith in.   Two - the cast and look of the film has been spectacular.   They've come out with a special featurette revealing how they went about filming the "Leap of Faith" moment in ASSASSIN'S CREED that most of us assumed was just pixel magic...  and Pixel magic was involved in the creation of the surroundings, but not so much with the insane human.   Stuntmen are a special breed of What The Fuck Humans.   God bless em.   They're saying this is the highest stuntman jump in 35 years!

Ok - let's take a look at the featurette:

Isn't that cool? So now, you're wondering about the highest stuntman fall of all time. Well you're talking to the right film geek, cuz I love shit like that. It was done by Dar Robinson for Burt Reynold's SHARKY'S MACHINE. That was a full 105 feet higher than this stunt for ASSASSIN'S CREED. If you love this sort of Stuntwork - check out this short doc upon Dar Robinson, who left us too soon:

Keep it cool,

Harry
