Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Anthony Mackie is just plain great on screen. We can all agree on this, whether we're Team Marvel or Team DC. His Falcon is one of the brighter spots of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His work outside of Marvel is just as good (but not as widely seen). Recently he turned in a great performance in HBO's LBJ flick ALL THE WAY.
Before he suits up for Marvel again he'll be detouring into Kathyrn Bigelow's Untitled Detroit Riots flick, set during the race riots of 1967, joining John Boyega, Will Poulter, Jack Reynor and Ben O'Toole.
Bigelow's Hurt Locker partner in crime Mark Boal wrote the script which takes place during the riots in the face of systematic racism in the Detroit housing market. That's an exciting cast for an exciting project by an exciting filmmaker. Very much looking forward to this one.
