Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. EW has some interesting news today regarding the next project from Hobo With A Shotgun's Jason Eisener. It's called New York City Outlaws and it's based on a comic book series.
This thing sounds like it's in Eisener's wheelhouse. It's about vigilantes who rise up against crime when the NYC police are on strike. I can already see the neon lighting and grime from the gutters on everything.
Eisener is one of the nicest dudes making movies out there, so I'm happy for him. I'm also happy that he's teamed up with Austin's own Zack Carlson and Bryan Connolly. These guys know punk exploitation flicks inside and out, so I have no doubt that the script is gloriously fucked up.
Congrats, guys! Do us genre lovers proud!
