The 1996 “Trainspotting” was kind of like the Scottish “Dazed and Confused”; it gave us Obi-Wan and Sherlock Holmes and Margaret Thompson and Lucius Vorenus and Rumpelstiltskin and, um, Andrew from “Snowpiercer.”
Director Danny Boyle has indicated that "T2" is loosely based on the 2002 novel "Porno," a sequel to the "Trainspotting" novel that explores, among other things, efforts to produce Scottish pornography.
How loosely we shall learn when “T2” hits British cinemas in late January and American cinemas in early February.
