Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The final cherry ton top of Marvel's big Hall H presentation was the official confirmation that Brie Larson will indeed be playing Captain Marvel!
We already kinda knew that, but it's great that she's officially part of the family now. Carol Danvers is a huge character and Larson is so goddamn good at everything she does that I can't help but view this as one of the best moves Marvel has made since casting Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man.
Even though I wasn't on the ground in San Diego it really feels like Marvel's still swinging for the fences and delivering quality project after quality project. The live tweeting from in the room was nothing but excitement, even from the more cynical among my colleagues.
Brie Larson will kill it in this role. I absolutely can not wait to see her mix it up with the Marvel family!
