Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. We've known for a while that Kurt Russell was cast in Guardians of Galaxy V.2 and it was strongly hinted at that he would be playing Star Lord's dad. Well, today at Marvel's Comic-Con panel it was revealed that he is indeed Star Lord's dad, but it gets weird.
Kurt Russell will be playing this guy:
That's right, a living planet fathered Star Lord and that living planet is being played by Kurt Fuckin' Russell (his legal middle name, I believe).
They showed some footage at the panel that also confirmed Sylvester Stallone is in the cast, which of course makes this a quasi-sequel to Tango & Cash officially, I think. Word from those in the Hall was that the slightly more grown up Baby Groot stole the show (after footage of him helping Yondu and Rocket break out of prison) and that Come A Little Bit Closer and Break the Chain are on the new mix-tape.
There's also some news about a Guardians ride at Disneyland, but I'll write a separate story on that.
