AICN COMICS: Can’t make it into San Diego Comic Con? Go to EW’s CON-X right behind the convention center!

Hey folks, Mark L. Miller aka Ambush Bug here with some definite cool news. Just because you can’t get into the con doesn’t mean you can’t be part of the fun at San Diego. Entertainment Weekly is putting together their own Con of sorts called CON-X!

CON-X is a fan-first event located right behind the Convention Center at the Embarcadero Marina Park North in San Diego. It runs from 10am to 10:30pm from Thursday through Saturday and has it’s own lineup of special guests and events.

Today, there will be trivia, prizes, music, merch booths, and food with comics stars Jason Latour (SOUTHERN BASTARDS) and X-FILES: ORIGINS’ Kami Garcia and Jonathan Mayberry, as well as a live DJ set by Tendaji Lathan and a “Bootie Mash-up” happening tonight!

I’ll be back tomorrow for info on Friday’s lineup. This mini-con is open to the public, so if you’re in the San Diego area, there’s no excuse not to be a part of all of the excitement.
