Ahoy, squirts! Quint here, taking a quick break from the so far outstanding Netflix Original Series STRANGER THINGS to bring you today's BTS pic. I almost forgot, but just started Episode 3, which is titled “Holly, Jolly” and reminded me of the photo I planned to use today. Holly, Jolly, Jolly Holiday... get it?
This is a very sweet photo of the great Dick Van Dyke and the equally great Julie Andrews in dance rehearsal for the Jolly Holiday number from Mary Poppins. Ain't it a glorious day indeed!
Those two are so great together in that movie, which will always be a favorite of mine. It's weird how movies change a little bit as you watch them at different times in your life. To a kid, Mary Poppins is a fun mom. As a 20-something you watch it and go “wait a minute, I wanna go out with Mary Poppins” and as a 30-something now I watch it and go “She was so damn young in this movie!”
Anyhoo, it's an adorable photo from one of my favorite movies. Hope you guys got a kick out of it (I'm sorry, I couldn't resist the pun).
