Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Why Him? is one of them big studio goofy comedy stories about a grumpy dad who doesn't like his new potential son-in-law. Not the most original concept, but when that grumpy dad is Walter White and that son-in-law is James Franco at his James Franco-iest then the ears perk up a little bit.
The Red Band trailer impressed me right away with a Hollywood rarity: good photoshop job on the Young Cranston w/young Zoey Deutch pictures. I don't know why big studio movies always seem to hire the worst Photoshop artists to transplant actors' heads on old photographs, but they do and this one actually looks legit.
I'll admit that I'm a sucker for some pretty base level comedy. What can I say? I like a good fart joke. So my taste when it comes to comedy might be questionable to most, but I liked what I saw in this trailer. It felt more like a Vacation movie to me than the entirety of the last Vacation movie.
