The Bioshock Trilogy gets a current gen upgrade!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Since we're on a video game kick this morning (Wreck-It Ralph 2 announcement and all), why not continue the theme and talk a little bit about Bioshock.

I've been jonesing to revisit the first game and have been patiently waiting for the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature to include that title, but now I understand why they held off. 2K has been working on a current gen up-scale of all three of their Bioshock games and just announced that they're releasing an edition that includes Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock Infinite and all their respective DLC in one shiny package.

On the one hand, boo for spending another $60 on games I already bought, but what the hell? Bioshock is one of the most beautifully designed series of games ever, so if I get new achievements, all the extras and the prettiest versions ever of these games then I won't grumble too much about the double dip.

Here's the announce trailer:

As the above trailer mentioned, the new Bioshock Collection bows September 13th. Would you kindly pre-order it right this very second on either PC, Xbox One or PS4 by clicking the cover art below? Amazon's currently offering a 20% discount to Prime Members if they pre-order.

Very much looking forward to my return to Rapture. What about you?
