First Official Still from Colin Trevorrow's THE BOOK OF HENRY is here!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. One of the more interesting projects scheduled for release later this year is Colin Trevorrow's followup to Jurassic World, a coming of age drama called THE BOOK OF HENRY.

The plot has a bit of a Radio Flyer sound to it, with two young boys concocting a scheme to rescue their neighbor from the hands of an abusive father. Trevorrow talked about the plot and making something low-fi after the hugeness of Jurassic World with the good folks at Empire who also debuted the first still, below.

This project intrigues me for many reasons. First and foremost is this is Trevorrow's step between Jurassic World and Star Wars Episode IX. Jurassic World is a flawed film, but there's definitely something to Trevorrow as a filmmaker and I believe it is that something that Kathy Kennedy and Kiri Hart and the team at Lucasfilm responded to.

I haven't out and out loved either of his previous films, but this one stands a good chance to be my favorite of his. He's got two of the best kid actors working in the leads (Midnight Son's Jaeden Lieberher and Room's Jacob Tremblay) and Naomi Watts as their mom, so I'm pretty confident the front of the camera talent is there. It'll all be about seeing how the story shapes up.

What do you folks think?
