Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I went out and saw The Shallows last night and the first trailer for Lights Out played before the movie, which got the rather vocal non-Drafthouse crowd pretty rowdy. "I gotta see that!" When a midnight genre audience yelps at a trailer you know something is going right.
The new trailer just dropped and it's just as creepy. Love that James Wan is using his powers for good by championing original supernatural horror with rich mythology. The movie could work, it could stink. I won't know until I've seen it, but I like the direction Wan is pushing horror.
