According to The Hollywood Reporter's sources, “The Walking Dead” just shot a scene with Norman Reedus portraying Daryl Dixon’s corpse.
The series also just shot scenes depicting the corpses of Carl (Chandler Riggs), Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Aaron (Ross Marquand), Rosita (Christian Serratos), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn (Steven Yeun).
You’ll not see most of these death scenes on AMC. All but one of them were shot to hide the identity of the individual beaten to death by Negan at the end of last season.

Sources tell THR that each of the 11 cast members involved in the scene have already filmed a death scene. The Walking Dead producers and the episode director will then work with the show's editors and pick the character who does indeed die.
Keep that in mind when Atlanta residents claim to have seen Andrew Lincoln in corpse make-up.
