Hey Folks, Harry here... DEATH WISH with Charles Bronson was one of a handful of BETAMAX tapes that my Grandfather had in my Uncle's old room that I stayed in, whenever I went to visit my grandparents in San Antonio as a kid. I watched it... a lot. In fact, I watched it so much that I was convinced that if you took inappropriate steps with a lady, somewhere somehow... Charles Bronson would blow your fucking balls off with a big ass handgun - and you absolutely fucking deserved it.
We've known there's been a remake coming for a while. Joe Carnahan wrote a draft then Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski penned a draft that Bruce Willis loved - and at that time the directing team behind the amazing BIG BAD WOLVES wanted to steer the project in a slightly different manner than Bruce wanted - so they left.
Now... ELI ROTH is stepping up to the plate to direct DEATH WISH writting by Joe Carnahan, Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski and starring Bruce Willis as the pissed as living fuck man who will probably have a wife or daughter or grandmother or friend harassed in a manner that'll make us sick, but then Bruce will wipe the scumbags down a sewer drain of pain. I just wonder - will we get a sock full of half-dollars? I'm really pulling for Jeff Goldblum to be cast in this.
I just hope that Bruce Willis has Bronson's stache for the film! That'd be super keen!
