Directors of the great Belgium indie BLACK - to direct BEVERLY HILLS COP 4 w/ Axel Foley back!

Hey folks, Harry here...  back during SXSW in March of this year, I told y'all about a film I saw called BLACK.  Essentially, it's a Belgium remake of Romeo & Juliet set between a Black Belgian Congo gang and an Moroccan Gang.  The film was made with 100% "Street Talent" that the producers and directoring pair Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah found in Belgium.  The film is absolutely riveting.  The performances they get from the novices are amongst the best work I've seen this year.   If they can get a tenth of that kinda dedication from Eddie Murphy we might have something.

When the film had Brett Ratner on, it was to be Axel Foley finally returning to Detroit on the coldest bleakest winter in Detroit's history - and just saying, Detroit has changed a bit since Axel Foley left it in the 80s.   I mean..  Really - really different.  Who knows what'll Detroit look like after Trump's RNC Convention is done.   Crazy times we live in.

Anyway, this is thrilling news.  Well, only if Eddie Murphy can wake up and be magic.  I root for him, but he was so great, once upon a time.  Before the Donkey.

Keep it cool,

Harry
