Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. This is probably my favorite thing to come out of E3 this year. So far. I'm an Xbox guy. That's where my friends are, that's the controller I'm used to, that's where I've built up all my achievements, that's where my favorite exclusive titles were back in the good ol' Halo days. But God of War was what forced me to get a PS2 and the series is what drew me to PS3 back in the day.
I bought a PS4 at launch and it has pretty much been gathering dust (still need to blow off that dust and hit up Uncharted, but my free time isn't what it once was), but when I did so I knew they'd be bringing Kratos into this new generation of consoles. It's taken them a few years to give us a new God of War, but damn it it's finally coming and it looks amazing.

Okay, so I'm going to be 100% fine if they decided to meld God of War with The Last of Us and have Kratos and his kid going around fighing Norse mythology creatures. That actually sounds amazing to me. Like I'm now going to be disappointed if this is solely a Kratos game.
I mentioned it in the Resident Evil VII story, but I'm just glad that current gen is finally starting to look like what I hoped new cutting edge video games would look like. That gameplay footage above is incredibly detailed and well-animated.
No hint at release date, but I'm betting it'll be sooner than later (whether holiday this year or spring next year, I couldn't say, but I have a feeling it'll be fairly soon).
