Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Paramount's marketing team has gone to warp speed lately and thank the movie gods they have because with each new trailer and poster image I get more and more excited for Justin Lin's movie.
The new poster that hit the net today is just as colorful and bright as the more recent domestic and fan posters (my favorite of which was the direct nod to the original ST:TMP poster).
At the end of the day the action and eyecandy all takes a back seat to the character interaction. Star Trek's real strength has always been in making you love these characters and wanting to see them go on adventures together. If Simon Pegg was able to nail that with the script then this movie will work. If not, then maybe not so much.
