Will Birdman be Flapping His Wings Once More in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING?

Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here with a bit of cool casting news. While Michael Keaton's name has been thrown around a bit lately when discussing the new SPIDER-MAN film, it seems like he might stick to the project after all. (I guess the spaghetti of a deal he got just needed a bit more time.) The Hollywood Reporter is certain that Mr. Keaton is now officially joining the film. The fact that this film is even happening, feels like two divorced parents coming together for the benefit of their child, in this case it's our favorite neighborhood web slinger. Tom Holland's take on the character was one of many highlights of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR and with Keaton on board I'm absolutely excited to see HOMECOMING. With a script written by John Francis-Daley and the fact that Tony Stark will be in it, I think it's safe to assume there will be quite a bit of humor injected into the character, a humor he's been denied for the last few ventures. Cool, but who is Michael Keaton playing? No solid clue, but rumors galore he will be playing The Vulture. Keaton himself is such an incredible talent with multiple layers of what he can do, as in he's no character actor, but a man who can handle humor (BEETLEJUICE / MR. MOM), action (BATMAN), and a degree of darkness (BIRDMAN). He's a complex actor who might just join a playground full of fans with SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, so here's hoping this isn't just a rumor!

Thanks to Talkbacker "The Tyrant Boss" for spotting this! So what do you folks think about Keaton in the Sony/Marvel Spiderman Universe?
