“Sleepy Hollow” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” will be back next season, and we’re getting three more time-travel shows to join them.
1) From writer-producers Shawn Ryan (“The Shield,” “Terriers,” “The Chicago Code,” “Last Resort”) and Eric Kripke (“Supernatural,” “Revolution”), NBC has “Timeless,” about a scientist, a history professor and a soldier who must travel back in time to stop a criminal with another time machine from changing history. It stars Abigail Spencer (“Mad Men,” “True Detective”).
2) From Kevin Williamson, creator of “Dawson’s Creek,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “Wasteland,” “Glory Days,” “Hidden Palms,” “The Following” and “Stalker,” ABC has “Time After Time.” Based on the Nicholas Meyer’s 1979 feature, it depicts struggling author H.G. Wells using his time machine to pursue Jack The Ripper from 1893 London to 2016 Manhattan.
3) From writer-producer Julius Sharpe (“The Cleveland Show,” “Family Guy,” “Dads”), Fox has the sitcom “Making History,” about three friends who use a time machine to break up the monotony of their lives.
Fox, NBC and ABC announce their fall slates Monday, Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
