CONVICTION. From writer-producer Liz Friedlander (“House,” “Orange Is The New Black,” “Elementary,” “Jessica Jones”). The lawyer daughter of a former U.S. president is arrested for cocaine possession and agrees to avoid jail time by working for the New York District Attorney overturning apparent wrongful convictions. Hayley Atwell (“Agent Carter”) stars.
STILL STAR-CROSSED. A Shondaland production from writer-producer Heather Mitchell (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal”). A period drama dealing with the aftermath of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” the hourlong focuses on the young prince of Verona trying to engineer a marriage between two cousins of Romeo and Juliet to end the feud between the Montagues and Capulets. It stars Anthony Head (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” “Merlin,” “Dominion”) and Zuleikha Robinson (“The Lone Gunmen,” “Lost,” “Homeland”) as Lord and Lady Capulet.
TIME AFTER TIME. From Kevin Williamson, creator of “Dawson’s Creek,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “Wasteland,” “Glory Days,” “Hidden Palms,” “The Following” and “Stalker.” Based on Nicholas Meyer’s 1979 feature, it depicts H.G. Wells using his time machine to pursue Jack The Ripper from 1893 London to 2016 Manhattan.
NOTORIOUS. From somebody named Allie Hagen (the same one who created “Suri’s Burn Book” blog?). Drama about a top defense attorney and a top news producer who fall in love while using each other to advance their careers. It stars Piper Perabo (“Covert Affairs”) and Daniel Sunjata (“Rescue Me,” “Graceland”).
DOWNWARD DOG. From writer-producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (“Year One,” NBC’s “The Office,” HBO’s “Hello Ladies” and the TV version of “Bad Teacher”). It’s a sitcom about a dog who feels neglected after his owner starts spending more time at work trying to earn a promotion. It stars Alison Tolman (“Fargo”) as the dog’s owner.
IMAGINARY MARY. From writer-producer Adam F. Goldberg (“The Goldbergs”). It stars Jenna Elfman (“Dharma & Greg”) as a PR exec whose childhood imaginary friend tries to intervene when the exec falls for a single father of three.
SPEECHLESS. From writer-producer Scott Silveri (“Friends,” “Joey,” “Perfect Couples,” “Go On”). Sitcom about a family with a special-needs kid. It stars Minnie Driver (“About A Boy”) as his mom.
