Will Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daisy Johnson, The Punisher, Iron Fist And/Or Daredevil Be Joining AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR?? The Russos Say …

I am – Hercules!!

Well, they don’t say no.

“The Marvel Universe is sprawling – the Marvel Cinematic Universe is enormous. Just think of all the characters that haven’t been introduced yet that are going to be introduced by the time that we’re working on Infinity War. We have a tough task just telling the stories of the characters who exist [on the big screen] in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, let alone adding the entire Marvel Television universe. Anything is possible in Marvel. It’s certainly something we’re considering. But our focus is on telling the stories of the characters that currently exist on the movie side.”

ScreenRant attributes this quote to both directors of “The Avengers: Infinity War.”

Lots of character from the movies – Phil Coulson, Peggy Carter, Sif, Jasper Sitwell, Howard Stark, Gideon Malick, the list goes on – have transitioned to ABC, but none that started on TV has yet ascended to the big screen.

The segregation is more pronounced on Neflix’s streaming series “Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones,” which take place in Coulson’s universe but have yet to see anyone from the movies wander into an episode.

Which feels a little weird and unbalanced. So it’d be NICE to see ONE character that started on ABC or Netflix (even if it’s Patton Oswalt’s Brothers Koenig) spend a few seconds in a Marvel movie.

Of course the Russos are not writing "Infinity War" and final decisions like these may be well above their pay-grade.  There have been a lot of rumors suggesting Marvel movies chief Kevin Fiege may not want to use TV characters that operate under the purview of the TV division (still overseen by Fiege's old boss Ike Perlmutter), but if someone like Disney chief Bob Iger wants Luke Cage to fight Thanos, who's going to tell him no?
