Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Taika Waititi's Hunt For The Wilderpeople is one of my favorite movies of 2016 so far, if not the top of the list. Sam Neill is, as usual, amazing and Waititi seems have transitioned into that great director zone where everything they do seems to be effortless. It's a movie that doesn't try to pull emotion out of the audience, it just does it.
It's a light hearted flick with some real deep down emotional triggers. You'll be laughing and not notice they're about to really make you care for these people.
The trailer that just came out for the film is a great one in that it sets everything up without undercutting the big emotional payoffs of the movie or giving away the best gags, for that matter.

The movie hits theaters sometime this summer. If it's playing at a theater near you, do yourself a favor and sit your ass down and be ready to be wowed by the world of Ricky Baker!
