A Badass Rotoscoped Short Featuring Clive Barker Paintings Needs a Little Help!

Hello ladies and gentlemen, your pal Muldoon here with something that hit my radar just a few days ago. Now I'll be completely transparent, I typically stick to posting things around the weekend unless it's during a Film Fest I'm covering, so I wouldn't currently think of myself as "full time" by any of stretch of the imagination. That said, my AICN email still recieves requests for Kickstarter and IndieGogo posts almost daily. Most of the time I ask "Well, what's in it for the fans? Who really benefits from this thing if not just the folks raking in the cash?" Occasionally something sticks out, typically from a filmmaker who's work I've seen before and have come to admire. I've got no qualms with sharing today's dip into that sort of territory with STICKY FINGERS, as it's from a group of folks I'm a genuine fan of - Nick Peterson, Clive Barker, and the folks at Fun Size Horror all putting their skills into a rotoscoped horror story.

I've featured Nick's previous work on SATURDAY SHORTS, which is where he first grabbed my attention. If you're on AICN, I have a stronge feeling you're more than aware of Clive Barker's twisted storytelling, writing, and art work - so the fact that his imagination bleeds into this project is something I find interesting. While I'll let the pitch video speak for itself, this is an actual short I'd personally love to see come to fruition and provided how cool Nick's past films have been... it's going to be something special. The guy's visuals are on another level.

Believe me, I'm the last guy to say "Hey! Give away that pile of money you've worked your ass off for to a stranger on the internet," honestly. Here's a case where the goal and the perks seem as realistic as the talent involved, meaning you are actually get something worthwhile back, like a signed Clive Barker painting, a chance at a voice over credit, or a hand drawn frame of the film. Regardless, I think this seems like a cool project, and hope it does well.

There we have it, folks. I'm not saying "Give this thing your money!" as much as "Hey, this thing exists and I think it's cool," so if it seems like something you could get behind and you're an individual who likes to back interesting projects, check out the film's Kickstarter page. I can't imagine I'll be posting many more articles like this in the near future, so best of luck to the filmmakers and hopefully we get to screen the film on SATURDAY SHORTS sooner rather than later!
