It’s been about year since the release of “Age of Ultron,” but the one thing we don’t get from this conversation is which project Whedon has chosen as his “Ultron” follow-up. Whedon will only say what he’s writing represents a departure.
Ruffalo does reveal that he begged Whedon to direct him in the next “Thor” and “Avengers” movies. For his part, Whedon seems to suspect Marvel is tired of hearing him say “no” and may be done asking.
