Hey folks, Harry here... Brian De Palma is one of our greatest filmmakers. If all you know of his work is the first MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE or MISSION TO MARS - I can understand why you'd doubt this statement, but you've also got some amazing films ahead of you. SISTERS, PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE, OBSESSION, CARRIE, THE FURY, DRESSED TO KILL, SCARFACE, BLOW OUT, BODY DOUBLE, UNTOUCHABLES, CASUALTIES OF WAR, CARLITO'S WAY & FEMME FATALE are all... just wondrous films that explore sexuality, violence and our predilection for both. De Palma is a consummate Auteur filmmaker with an eye that never fails me.
Obviously Noah Baumbach and Jake Paltrow agreed cuz they've made a feature length documentary on De Palma where they sat him down for 10 days straight and picked his brain. How'd the doc come out? I don't know, haven't seen it yet, dammit. But here's the poster:
